Easy to get around, lots of food, and beautiful mountain trails just a little ways from you, Portland, OR is a city I will have to revisit someday. A little over 3 hours of a drive from Seattle, we drove down to spend a day and a half in the city. With just a bit of time, here are a few suggestions for sights and bites we covered while there.
Things to Do:
1. EAT, EAT, EAT
Basically the reason why we travel anywhere right?! The options
are just endless! See below for all the eateries we stopped in at.
2. Mt. Hood National Forest - Trillium Lake Loop Hike
This will take you most of the day so keep this in mind if you
decide to do this, but well worth the drive since the view is
incredible and people walk across the lake when it's completely
frozen over in the Winter.

Places to Grab a Bite/Coffee/Drink:
1. Portland City Grill Restaurant
Great happy hour specials with a skyline view of the city
from the 30th floor!

2. Voodoo Doughnut
Tons of quirky, fun flavors to enjoy at this iconic doughnut eatery!

3. Proud Mary Cafe
One of the best Aussie-style brunches I've had so far in a
gorgeous space with lots of flavorful options to choose
from!

4. Salt & Straw
I can guarantee you that there will be a line that stretches out the
door, but can't leave Portland without grabbing a scoop of their
super flavorful ice cream!

5. Back to Eden Bakery
Lots of vegan and plant-based options at this bakery and cafe!

6. Bollywood Theater
Street food, apps, drinks, meals, and more in a space that will
transport you to a corner of India.
7. Heart Pizza
Always down for brick oven pizza and this place knows the right
flavor combinations that leaves you wanting to come back for
more.
