When in Seattle

As one of my favorite cities for many reasons, Seattle, WA has the perfect laid-back urban vibe surrounded by mountains, waterways, and is not too far from national parks with lively ecotourism. While we were only there for 2 days, we felt as if we had enough time to visit many of the major attractions which are located within walking distance or a 10-20 minute car ride at most within the city. We also took a day to enjoy the greenery outside the city and Seattle nightlife as well.

Things to Do:

1. Pike Place Market

Catch the fish throwing, wander around the floors of

stores, and stop to pick up a bouquet of tulips.

2. Chihuly Garden and Glass

Check out this showcasing of Dale Chihuly's glass

sculptures and learn how to blow glass at their live demo

center.

3. Mount Rainier National Park

Definitely a drive from the city but an unforgettable day if you get

the chance to visit. Watch the terrain change as you make your

way up the mountain. Highly recommend booking a tour with

Evergreen Escapes for a guided snowshoeing and hiking

experience like no other on the mountain!

4. Gas Works Park

Awesome view of downtown as you walk along the water at this

park!

5. Kerry Park

Catch the Space Needle, downtown, and Mount Rainier in the

background all from this viewpoint.

6. Walk Around University of Washington's Campus

So many places to dine around here!

Places to Grab a Bite/Coffee/Drink:

1. The Nest at Thompson Seattle

This hotel has one of the nicest views of the Seattle Waterfront at

night with a rooftop bar serving creative drinks that match the

unique interior.

2. Beecher's Handmade Cheese at Pike Place Market

Stop in to try their amazing mac 'n' cheese, sample fresh

handmade cheeses, and watch the process of how it's all done

right at their storefront.

3. Indi Chocolate

This place has some unforgettable hot chocolate served with a

cardamom spiced marshmallow.

4. Third Culture Coffee

If you haven't had a Kouign-amann, you are seriously missing

out! Stop in to try one here with with an espresso flight for

breakfast.

5. Thai Tom

A hole in the wall place that's a bit hard to find but well worth the

trip for the best Thai food I've ever had! You even get to watch

your meal being cooked right in front of you!

6. Radiator Whiskey

Get your hands on one of their whiskey flights with a side of

appetizers while you're here!

7. Sweet Alchemy

So many sweet options to choose from at this ice cream and

dessert shop.

8. Queen Bee Tasty Food & Coffee

Didn't know crumpet cafes were a thing until we stopped in here.

Will definitely be on the lookout for more of these in other cities.

9. Itto's Tapas

Moroccan and Spanish tapas with fresh mint tea - count me in!

10. List

Gnocchi like pillows, flatbread with the right amount of crunch,

and scrumptious pasta - everything we had here was nothing

short of perfection!

11. La Cocina Oaxaqueña

Authentic Mexican eats, chips, and margs - yum!
